Halong Bay

Cruising at Halong Bay for 2 days 1 night
A world heritage to the world, as of it's calmness sea and isles surrounding the bay
At peak season, the bay will have about 400 boats station here loaded full board of tourist
We were here at low peak season which is near to the monsoon season
So not really crowded much with the tourists

Nice scenery, cool weather, a real rest and relax tour on boat.

Old Quarter Hanoi

Old Quarter is the place with streets packed with shops selling all kinds of goods,
each street named for its primary good or service.
Street of shoes, street of clothing, street of hardware, street of plastic bag...
And we stay at the street of plastic bag, Hanoi Old Town Hotel

Here, I see many locals on the bicycles or motorbikes, busy with their daily life
Traffic here is messy, you need to be careful while walk on the road.

The wiring of the power cables are here and there, forming a complicated route.
I guess while there's power failure with the power cable, they will only tap another wire in

Street foods are all around the area here, but it's not cheap.
A bowl of Pho (noodle) cost at least 40000 Dong which is RM6.40 to us
And this is just the street foods, which you will be sitting on a small stool near to the road and enjoying your food. However, some foods are nice and worth trying.

Selling on bicycles are commonly found here
and the bicycle is loaded with lot of stuff
Salute the lady who has to move this bicycle loaded with lot of ceramic stuff

Shops and houses here are with narrow width and high built up with at least 2-4 floors
And this formed the area with slim tall buildings everywhere

Old Quarter, a unique place in Vietnam

Good Foods at Kota Kinabalu

Everywhere we go, we won't stop hunting good foods
Haw Shyang, my friend from Sabah was telling me all kinds of good foods at KK
So we have managed to taste the local good foods there...

Yummy~

The first seafood dinner we have had once we reached KK city
This is the foodcourt with few stalls selling fresh seafood, located opposite Lavender Lodge
We picked one with offering 10% and free fruits platter for us
Dishes ordered weren't too bad
Like the fried rice with crab meat, and fried mee tuaran and Sabah vege
Mantis shrimp were delicious too!
Quite a pricey dinner for us, RM300+

Another recommended by blogger, Bak Kut Teh at Kwong Tung Chai Kopitiam
The Bak Kut Teh stall is opened at 4pm of the day
We were having this after our day out to the Sapi Island
Delicious Bak Kut Teh and Braised Pork Nuckle
Not too pricey, just reasonable as selling in the kopitiam

This Laksa is one of the must try at KK
It's located behind the Le Meridian Hotel, Seng Heng Kopitiam
It's different from our asam laksa
It's like Sarawak Laksa, laksa soup with santan
serve with shrimp, selling at RM5.50 a bowl
Hawker foods at KK isn't cheap overall...
Yet, this is a bowl of delicious laksa

Welcome Seafood, here I come again!
A famous seafood restaurant in KK
I patroned to this restaurant 2 yearrs back with my cousins at our last hiking trip
This time we came back this restaurant located at Asia City, near to Marina Court Promenade
Seafoods sold here are fresh, and with reasonable price, slightly cheaper than the one we have had at the food court... RM270+

Haw Shyang told me to try the fried dumpling at Taman Fo San
Somehow, we managed to hired a van to drive us around the city at the last day we at KK
And we found the Taman Fo San, as we were brought by Lai's friend to one of the shop at this taman to buy our dried sea cucumber... and we were glad to know the friendly boss of the shop... he is selling the greatest dried sea cucumber in Malaysia... he claimed that...
Well, come back to makan... since we were in Taman Fo San
So we managed to try the fried dumpling here.. and we discovered another great one...
the fried kuey teow...! It's so delicious! Chinese said it 火候十足
Fried dumpling RM0.70 per-piece while fried kuey teow at RM5.50 per-plate

It's a Beautiful Kota Kinabalu

Greenie farm with moo moo cow

Welcome to Desa Dairy Farm, Mersilau

I love much, clean beach + blue sky + crystal clear sea...

Sapi Island @ Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park

Awesome sunset viewable from Marina Court Promenade

I have had a merry trip with my fantastic buddies

Personally, I love Kota Kinabalu

What I have did at February...

It has been long I didn't write here...
So, what I have did at February?
It's a pretty busy month for me, mainly on my works...

Yet, I have my personal activities on~

I have CNY open-house visit to Joanne's house
Meeting her lovely twin and we have had good times together
Andrea and Andrene, I miss both of you... especially Andrene
She is cute and cheerful~

Having CNY dinner with Bobo Club sisters...
We have the famous 'pun choy' at one of the famous restaurant at Puchong

Another CNY dinner with my group of old times buddies
Another great dinner we have had with great friends and laughters

Went to Tian Hou Temple at the Chap Goh Mei
Prayed for a good blessing year for my family (both Liew & Chang)
and myself too...

I have been busy helping brother to clean his new house
before he moved into his new house
I was like a maid to her... hahahaha...
In return, brother treated us yummy meal with big crab
Yum yum... what a delicious meal

Having good tea time with Michelle at one of the weekend
Cathing up each other since she has back to KL from China
Having great time spending together, talk about anything in us
The dessert is yummy, mango ice-cream with the pastry

This one was the voucher I bought online
A dine-in meal voucher at Blue Cow, Plaza Damas Sri Hartamas
for their famous big breakfast
This is truly a good deal I got for the voucher i have bought online
Big breakfast is big in portion, and is nice in taste except for the little bit salty with their bacon

Made myself a yummy breakfast at one of the weekend
It's a good enjoyment I love to have myself

And I remain the happy go lucky one
being contented, cheerful at all times...
Bye February... and welcome March

Saga Hill Track

First time tracking at Saga Hill (a.k.a Ah Pak San)
A hill not far away from Pandan Indah, Cheras
Time to start practicing, for our Mt KK Climb April next year
This is a small hill, with 3 routes >> A, B or C
We took the Route C, which lead us to the hill top or waterfall
Yet we were heading to the hill top this time
Next time will be heading to the waterfall
Route C is the longer trail as compare to Route A and Route B
Route C is easier to track as compared to Route A
Why? As we descended via Route A
Route A is the trail with steep hill tracks
We ought to be careful and watch our step down the hill
We have made it to the hill top
There are few canopies setup up the hill top
Climbers were sitting at hill top rest area after the climb
We made it to the hill top, everyone was happy!
After the hill climb, we have our deliciou lunch at Ampang
for the famous yong tou fu there
Yummy and climb... yummy and climb
We all enjoy it!

Good Friend's Wedding

A delay post... It should be the Sept post~
Our good friend's wedding was at 11th Sept 2011
Congratulation to Alex and Alicia
We all were happy for you both
May both of you are blessed with wonderful marriage life
In Love Forever~
Yummylicious for the night took place at Noble House
This is one of the best wedding banquet in the city
I have been dining in this restaurant for few times
Everytime I dine in there, the dishes served were totally different each time
I would say the dishes served are unique and delicious
Yummy!

Tanjung Sepat Day Out

A day out to Tangjung Sepat with good friends for makan-makan & jalan jalan
Started the journey at 8am, and reached the small town at almost 10am
That day was a day without sun-shine, so it's not too hot for us to walk around in the small town.
Tanjung Sepat famous spot - Lover's Bridge

No sunshine, only gray blueish sky
My good friends and me... great day out with them

Came to a shop selling coffee powder with their homemade blended coffee beans
The shop just next to the famous Pau Shop, Hai Yew Heng
The flour doughs for the Paus (Kind of Chinese Bun)
The famous one at Tanjung Sepat, Hai Yew Heng.

Visited to the outlet selling Ling Zi and other kinds of fungus/mushrooms
Yummy bak kut teh with seafoods, porks, and pepper soup with fish paste
That's our breakie, famous one in Tanjung Sepat, Yikee
We were con by an uncle when we're locating for this restaurant
Finally we found Yikee, and saw the uncle was sitting there having his bak kut teh
He even knotted his head to me when he saw me, I was so wondering and wanted to ask...
"Uncle, why con us to round and round the town to look for Yikee?" Why I wanna ask so, as the Yikee is opposite the location where we asked for direction of Yikee earlier with the uncle, piang~
Another reason we failed to look for Yikee, as was getting the address of Yikee from online wrongly.
It's located at Jalan Pasar, NOT Jalan Besar.

Before heading back to KL, we have the seafood lunch near to the Lover's Bridge
Yummy, fresh and was with a good reasonable price
Crab with mee-hoon, fried butter sotong, stir fried vege, fried soft bone fishes, Lala soup and Tofu soup, plus tea, all in with RM143 for 11 persons of us!
Happy ^.^
