1. My beloved sister and her lovely kids are staying there, so must pay them the visit every year

 

2. Shopping for good value of shoes and clothings, I always feel the value of SGD

 

3. To get my Kinder Puppies collection

 

4. The good foods at Lion city

 

 

 

 

Happy New Year

Happy new year, everyone!

2012, I lived with peace, happiness, and a contented heart.

I am glad that I have learnt a lot for the year too... for my personal, my work, family and friends. I learnt to appreciate more, to love, to let go, to live for a better me.

Personal, it's a change for me in handling my life differently this year, which is more quality for the times I spent and stuff I did. I came to know that I could not live life with expecting yet to contributing. I learnt to contribute more without expecting any returns. As good as I am happy and I am right in a way for the living.

Work, it's a very normal working year for me and my team. We target to boost up the business at 2013, for a better future of us. The team is aligned with our goal in mind, and we will strike for the best to the world outside to place our company to another level up. We can do it better definitely with the determination we have!

Family, it's another safe and peaceful year for my parent. I wish them both with good health and happy living in their golden age. Sister has had a tough year with her kids and family, yet she was tough enough and managed to take it. I am proud of my sister and I will always support her, wishing her and kids a joyful and blissful life always. Brother has good achievement at work, I am proud of him too. I wish my brother a fruitful year for his personal achievement and his career advancement too. Furkids are always my good companions, loving them to be so loyal to me, I will shower them with more loves I have. I love my family.

Friends, a good relationship I have with all my good friends. They play the important role to me, they support me, they share with me, they care for me. I always return the same to them. Number of good friends is increasing in my social life, I am glad to have this happened to me every year. Thank you to you all who have brought me joys and good times last past year! We shall have the same at coming year. I treasure everyone of you, you know who I meant here.

For 2013, I will continue my simple living with more laughters, more contributions to people surrounding me, more loves to my beloved one, more hard works for my career and yet do live life with the contented heart, remain as the same happy go lucky me!

Oishii from Kansai

This is about what I have eaten at my Kansai trip

In average, meal for a lunch or dinner is in between of 650-1100 yen

While breakfast is in between of 400-650yen

It was great for us to taste the authentic delicious japanese foods at the trip

Oishii, best~tor...

 

A great lunch we have had near the Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan

the fresh shasimi made us the good meal for the day

Another was the grilled unagi don, which the unagi was just melted in my mouth

Superb meal with reasonable price... in between of 800-850 yen.

 

We were seeing how the Okonomiyaki was cooked for us as our dinner

This is one of the famous dish found at Osaka

Having it cooked and served hot at the cooling day, what a good one!

A normal without noodle was 600+ yen, while add-on with noodle was 700+ yen

 

A good udon we have had at our visit to Kyoto

The handmade udon was served with the clear soup and a slice of beancurd

Simple and yet delicious... filling our stomach too!

A bowl of udon with packed rice and tempura brinjal cost me 650 yen. 

A meal we have had at Kobe, the restaurant serves fusion japanese meal

sake, grilled pork skew, grilled fish slices, hot plate beef slices

A special sumptuos meal we have had for the night

Four of us share the bill costing us 5000+ yen

 

A vegetarian meal we have while we were visiting Arashiyama

A place famous with handmade toufu (beancurd)

I like the chestnuts steam rice served here, delicious! 

 

Having the japanese tempura prawns and sushi at one of the restaurant at Shinsabashi

See the differences of the sushi filling with rice as compare here, 70% filling and 30 % rice

This made me love their sushi so much... oiishii!!

A special meal I pampered myself there, cost at 1350 yen  

 

A supper meal, the famous ramen we have had at Shinsabashi

the specialty is the soup of the ramen, so thick and tasty

A bowl of ramen for 750yen, we have ordered 2 bowls

it's just nice for 4 of us! yumm! 

While staying at the Kaneyoshi Ryokan

We have ordered the breakfast with the stay...

This was the super heavy breakfast for me, with plenty choices of serving

it's a pricey(1300+ yen ) and taste average breakfast...

 

We have the McD breakfast there too

650 yen for a breakfast set, yummy...

and it's different from our breakfast menu here

 

Most of the days, we DIY our breakfast

buying the hand-roll stick rice, and coffee at the convenient store

this was costing us the max 400 yen

the hand-roll stick rice are simple and tasty, and filling our stomach too!

 

We tried some local snacks there too

Like puddings, cheese cake, doraemon pancake and mochi

Coffee Lover

Coffee is a wonderful drink

It wake me up, keep me fresh

I have started drinking coffee at my secondary school

Following my mom for a cup of coffee or 'cham bing' every morning

Slowly when I started with work in the city, I was into more choices of coffee

And that made the me of today~ coffee lover!

 

This is the UCC coffee I have had at my trip at Osaka

A good cup of coffee plus the delicious sandwiches, made my day so superb!

I miss it now >.<

 

A latte I bought at Kansai Airport, before departing back home

And I love this coffee, not too strong yet not too mild, just nice

I could not find it here in Malaysia... sob sob~

12.12.12

Today is 12.12.12... A slightly different way I started my day~
I woke up earlier today, hula-hoop'ing, yoga'ing...
Hehe, I started my day with good exercises!
Taking a hot shower for the fresh new day...
Then I have my good cereal breakfast, Banana Nut Crunch~ yummy!

Today is nothing special to me, just that I started have my daily exercise
Another 19 days, it will be a new start of a new year!
I shall have these 19 days pre-run with new routine of my day...
So by 1.1.2013, it becomes the routine of me daily life...

I call the day 12.12 ~ kick start of my fitness days ~

Time Flies...

We all are working adults now... Sister and Cousin Mabel are mummies now

A conversation with my aunt, Samyi, trigger my thought that time flies real fast...

Samyi: you girls are adults now, which you girls were used to be the kids at my tuition class

Me: Samyi, ya... I'm now at your position, as the aunt to my nephew and niece. You are seeing us growing elder, while I am now seeing the kids growing up!

Happy Shopping

Super duper happy with my Nippon trip

As I bought many quality stuffs with good price...

Souvenirs, candies are not too cheap yet not too expensive... I should say with average price :)

Clothing there are cheap, as I got those clothes on sales!

Uniqlo is cheaper as compared to here, blouse and pant are 30%-50% cheaper than here...

H&M is having great sales where I managed to get the dresses with RM28 each only! And those are the dresses with good quality, no lipstick mark, no torn threat, no dirty mark... absolutely a good piece of quality dress!

Bought the magazine came with free tote bag, and have myself an Agnes B tote bag at RM480...

What a fruitful trip I have had! Lolssss

 

Kobe, You are Cool! Nara, You are Beautiful!

The one and only place we came to Kobe, Rokko Park

Cottage Terrace, a restaurant up at the hill top of Rokko Park

That was the evening with temperature below 10 degree celcious

There's a watch tower with film projected on it, so we watched the tower with film playing

Another one and only place we visited at Nara, Dong-Da-Zhi

A temple with Buddha which is also the UNESCO World Heritage site

Great achitecture of the temple amazed me!

Another unique you found here... there are deers walking freely here

You can hug the deers, feed the deers, touch the deers...

Just make sure you don't make them mad... else they will chase you, kick you...

But overall, the deers won't attack you if you don't mean to hurt them.

I love this beautiful place, and this is the place we found the maple trees have turned red!

Ancient Kyoto

 Just happened that was the Kyoto-Jidai-Matsuri Festival at one of the day (22Oct) of our trip

So we managed to attend to this traditional Japanese festival

The locals and foreigners all sit near to roadside to enjoy the parade

I was talking to an auntie, and she told me about the festival briefly

That's all about their authentic old fashions of various periods and characters at ancient times of Japanese

 

After the parade of the traditional festival, we visited to the Yasaka Shrine near to Gion

This is a temple with many lanterns, and with free admission

Gion is the place popular with the profession of Geisha, which has existed since old times of Japan

There were many tourists at this area to wait for Geisha to come out from the premise

as they hope to take the pictures of the Geisha here

It's not easy to take meet them here, as they will be performing in the premise rather than walking out, yet we manged to meet 2 Geishas who walk towards the premise, they are so beautiful!

 

We have the temple day out at one of the day of our trip

We first came to the Kiyomizudera (pic: bottom one) near to the Higashiyama district, a temple built with wood and with a platform supporting by wood pillars

Then we went to the Ginkakuji (pic: upper right), a temple with a small sandy hill and Kinkakuji(pic: upper left), a temple painted in gold built on top on the lake.

All three temples are awarded as UNESCO World Heritage sites

The temples were at the area surrounded with nice scenery, great temples with awesome building structures built since old times of Japan

We were there too early, the maple trees yet to turn to red

Good time to be there would be early Nov everyyear, to see the surrounding with red maple trees!

  

Arashiyama is another place with a world heritage site there, the Tenryuji Temple

This is a temple for the believers to study the religion, it's another beautiful temple!

 

Walking down from the Tenryuji Temple, we came to the Bamboo Grove and Togetsukyo Bridge

Bamboo Grove is a very beautiful place, that was with bamboo plants at the surrounding

Togetsukyo Bridge is leading us to the small town at Arahiyama, where we enjoyed our souvenir shopping and have our tou-fu meal here.

We have missed to take the Sagano Scenic Train as when we were reaching the train staion, the train was left and the next train was an hour late. Not to waste our time, we proceed to next sight seeing.

 

A small tip from me, to go the Arashiyama, our experience told us that, we should take the Landen train and drop off at the second last stop before reaching the final stop at Arashiyama, to take Sagano Scenic Train here. Riding on the train to enjoy the beautiful scenery found here, then stop near to Bamboo Grove and walk towards Tenryuji Temple and Togetsukyo Bridge. If time permits, you can even have a foot bath at the hot spring near the train station of Arashiyama. 

Amazing Osaka

Osaka, one of the major city of Japan

I have had my amazing holiday here and  have learnt the city living here

Osaka is a clean city, I don't feel the air pollution here, rubbish here and there

Peoples here are majority very polite and civilized

City is well structured and organized with good public transportation system

 

Osaka Castle is one of the famous tourist spot that the local and foreigner will visit to

This is the remained builing left in this big fenced up center area surrounded by 2 rivers

Similar to the Beijing's Forbidden City, which is surrounded by a river too

Local will be visiting there, to understand the history of Osaka

We as the foreign tourists don't understand their language well,

so we enjoyed seeing the building and sceceny there, and have photography there.

(Yes, almost all of the tourist spots places converse in Japanese, hardly heard the English)

Yet, we knew this is the place to find out history of Osaka from the different kingdoms of old times.

 

Another good one to go is the Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan

This is one of the biggest aquarium in the world

The aquarium is located next to the sea, design with a walk path walking downward the aquarium for different habitats set for different marine lifes

The specialties in this aquarium is their whale shark, and the giant stingray

Teresa was here to see her whale shark, that she wanted to see in this trip

We have spent few hours walking in the aquarium, and there are seats available in a few places of the aquarium, so we can rest while enjoy seeing the marine lifes in the aquarium.

 

 

Most retail shops in Osaka will be closing by 8:30pm or latest by 9:30pm everyday

They are practicing the 8 hours working life even in the retail industry like the departmental stores

Yet, some restaurants and karaokes will be opening for 24 hours

The happening night lifes are found at areas near Shinsabashi, Ebibashi, Dontoburi, Shinsekai...

We were having great shopping spree at the last 2 days of our stay there.

I managed to get some quality clothes and bags with attractive reasonable price.

So happy with shopping there! I shall share more on what I have bought in my next post~

 

 

Having fun day out the the Universal Studio Japan!

Experienced the 3D motion master rides

Running around the theme park to look for Snoopy and Elmo...

Bit disappointed as we could not locate them, so no picture taken with them!

Yet, managed to take picture with Kitty (specialty of USJ)

That's near to the Halloween, so Kitty was asking me to pose like 'ghost' with her...

Cutie ghost ever... right?! hahahahaha...

 

 

Tempting and Tempted

 

One thing i like about Nippon is buying magazines there

I don't understand the language, but i bought the magazine...

Why?

As it came with a handy bag (majority tote bag) FOC when you buy the magazine

 

See the magazines with the bags packed together?

Just pick for one you like!

 

I love this tote bag so much... Yes, I bought the magazine! lolsss

It cost me 690 Yen, which is about RM28.00

Francis was calling this magazine bag!

 

Teresa bought the magazine with the kitty tote bag...

Like the kitty furry tail attached with the bag...

Her magazine cost her 600 Yen, which is about RM24.00

 

Before leaving Osaka, Teresa found another tote bag she liked!

Yes, its a Agnes b tote bag came with Agnes b magazine.

This cost her 1300Yen which is about RM52.00

Satisfaction October. Beautiful November

The working day at last day of October was a a satisfaction one!
I have got my solution worked as expected! So happy!
October ended with a satisfied full stop.
